5/10/2024 PRESERVATION UPDATE:  Chip detector was broken, the gearbox and screen above chip detector had sand in it.   This stopped the preservation process given they were unable to cycle the preservation additive through the engine without pushing the contaminants throughout.  Preservation additive was added to the engine, just not cycled, and added to the fuel bowl.  Therefore, this engine isn't fully preserved and will require additional disassembly.   Photos added and labeled along with log entry updated.

Oil update:  No water or contaminants visually identified.

DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT:

Aircraft had a hard water landing and tipped on its side. Aircraft was partially submerged in salt water but was recovered very quickly.  See videos
