DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT:

Aircraft suffered fuel starvation and made a forced landing in a flat field. Came to rest upright.

REMARKS:

Logbooks - We digitize ALL logbooks available, if it's not digitized then it's not available unless otherwise noted.

Aircraft Logbooks: Starts in 1971 at 1,606.0 hrs. In 1970 tach was replaced at 3,065, new tach 000.0. In 1999

tach was replaced again at 1,181.1, new tach 000.0. Last logbook entry on 1/25/2024 tach reads 3,084.5. 

Aircraft does not match hobbs that was replaced in past however, total times are believed to be 7,597 if you

follow the tach changes. Added 57.7 hours from 1/17/2024. Engine Logbook entry bringing total to 7,654.7 hrs.

Engine logbook note 1.4.22 - old engine removed and current engine replaced bearings, seals, and piston rings.

Aircraft Logbook 1/3/2022 clarifies new engine SN was installed.  No information on Engine TT or TSMOH.

Engine, prop and wings have been removed. Engine and prop stored inside.

 

All logbooks and documentation are with the aircraft.

 

**The NTSB is retaining the fuel selector valve for further examination work.**  The fuel selector value is part of the sale.
