1980 Cessna 172RG
Location: Calera, AL
DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT: Deployed landing gear and failed to get a green light indicating the gear was down and locked. After multiple flybys at the airport it was confirmed the landing gear did not appear to be in a down and locked position. After cycling the gear to no avail the decision was made to land with the right main landing gear "dangling" The aircraft touchdown was normal and the right side of the aircraft settled to the ground and made its way off the runway.

DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGES:
Prop Strike, Right nose gear door is damaged and is pushed a little bit up into the cheek cowl on the right side. Exhaust stack is showing some signs of damage and there are three belly skins and associated antennas on the belly of the aircraft that need replaced. Some wrinkling around the right side wing strut and the right door is out of alignment.
