2009 Cessna C-172S Skyhawk
Location: Lancaster, TX
DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT: Soon after takeoff the pilot lost control of the aircraft, stalled and impacted the ground. "The pilot states he believes the engine was making full power on takeoff. He indicated the nose rose earlier than usual during the takeoff run and the stall warning horn sounded shortly after liftoff. He began to apply forward pressure to the control yoke and nose down trim. The aircraft was banking or “pulling” to the left, which he was attempting to counter with right aileron and rudder pressure. The pilot decided that he needed to land the aircraft immediately and, as the aircraft had drifted to the left, decided to aim, and land on the parallel taxiway. Immediately after making the decision to try to land on the parallel taxiway, the aircraft stalled and impacted the ground."
