1975 Cessna 172M
Location: Monroe Georgia
DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT: The aircraft appeared to be operating normally and as pilot crossed the "numbers", pilot flared the aircraft and was unsure of what transpired after that. After landing the aircraft, pilot taxied to the front of the hangar and we understand the front nose wheel had busted due to what appears to be a bounced landing. Pilot sat in the cockpit for several minutes trying to figure out what happened and then called her instructor and reported that there had been an incident.
The aircraft suffered a prop strike and the nose gear has been pushed back into the firewall and into the tunnel section of the aircraft causing additional damages.
